The Person: I'm Susan, a soon-to-be-thirty, wife, mama, artist, Jesus follower, and lover of nature...someone who is always abounding in ideas, but not quite as much time.  I've been married to an amazing fella, Brad for past 5 years and our family keeps growing:  We brought home our son James in 2013, and then in 2015 enjoyed a brief visit with Graham (more here) who soon after went to Heaven.  We are expecting a little lady to join our brood in December 2016.  I live in such a beautiful place, Washington.  With lots of rain, comes lots of lush greens everywhere which makes me smile.  So if you need a break from sunny days or snow, come enjoy some Northwest nature where rain is almost always in the forecast!

The Blog:  Simplicity of family life, snapshots of treks around the PNW, love for cows and trees (I have a favorite), Jesus, gardening, milky tea, and maps.  This is the documentation of our journey, nothing more, nothing less.  Don't expect to find a single recipe...unless you want 121 ways to have baked potato meals and stir fry, then ask away.

The Henna:  July 2015 I decided to venture into the world of henna.  After losing my son, I wanted to be able to interact with people on a more personal level that involved sharing my artistic nature.  Thus Suno Henna was born.  I can adorn you with traditional Indian, Gulf + Moroccan inspired designs at local summer festivals or you can set up a private appointment or party via my website.
