Little Clark: 30 weeks

Hello tootsie!

Have you been enjoying the week?  The doctor said that you've a huge wiggle worm (which I find hilarious because I can only feel you half of the time) that she could feel and hear on the doppler.  You thought it would be funny to run away everytime she found you, making sure to throw a few punches right at the little machine searching for your heartbeat.  It was pretty funny.  Your heart rate is even and holding steady at 138.  My goodness it seems slow to me, but perhaps you take after your Dad's slowly pounding heart.  He is Mr. Roll-With-The-Punches.  This week, I had a total stranger, a MAN, come up and grope around "looking for the baby".  Walmart never disappoints for uncomfortable situations.  Thankfully you were tucked safely inside, after recovering from momentary shock, told him I had to leave now.  There was nothing else I could do, I'm so glad you weren't actually on the outside being fondled!  We are taking you on your first roadtrip, and actually have been driving for 2 days as of Wed July 31 evening.  Driving for 8 hours a day with you inside acting as my human space heater has kept the A/C fluctuating...but it helps me know you are still going.  :)  We've taken you from Western WA to Central MT in a matter of two days!  Just wait until next week comes, you'll already be a traveler.  In other news, I attempted to put on a pair of cute shoes the other day only to discover I could no longer fit...my feet and ankles are so swollen I've gone up 2 shoe sizes!

Love you son!

  2. Susan, love reading your part of the story. I kept wondering about you two and praying for you all. I can't wait to hear more about your trip and I am so glad that baby Clark is doing well.

    1. Thanks Pam, we did make it ok, but lack of internet service and computers made keeping you guys informed difficult. :) No worries, more stories to come.
