Remember my little sprouts back in June? Look at them now! It is amazing how little I've done to make this happen...watered (when I remembered) and mostly watched. We have grown our own food, and I feel like Laura Ingalls Wilder. This is my second harvesting of green beans, and I currently have 3 zucchini sitting in the fridge waiting to be eaten. I would say it has been a successful attempt! Take notes fellow Western Washington-ers...if you want to try your hand at hearty plants, go with bush green beans, and zucchini, but really I have no idea. My neighbors are ridiculous gardeners...tomatos, radishes, carrots, 3 different zucchinis, peppers, jalapenos, lettuce, strawberries, all basically a million times larger than my little plot. So they had some good tips...like water, and thin the plants. Who knew that you shouldn't just let the plants duke it out?! Are you a gardener? Terrified to try? A pro, laughing at my victory? What have you benefited growing yourself?
