Roadtrip: Kalispell to Billings

We woke up early on the second day so that we could visit Glacier National Park!!!  However, as it says, "Pride goes before the fall"...and my camera stopped working...to this day it will not be fixed.  Posting how I got the camera was its downfall; sorry Dan.  However, Jake in his kindness let me use his.  Because we could only stay a short time, we went to the closest place...Lake MacDonald.

We saw the oh so picturesque dock with the mountains in the background...

Grabbed a panorama of the mountains...(click to see the true size)

It was so strange because most of the hills were covered in dead trees, I thought perhaps a disease had gone through because they didn't look blackened...but perhaps a fire had gone through years ago...

We gave ourselves a 30 min drive up the Going to the Sun Road and we saw so much gorgeous nature!  I love being in the outdoors.

Because it was early yet, the sun had not yet gone over the mountains, so I was able to catch the suns rays coming over the ridge.

And of course we couldn't go without snapping a few quick pics of us..documenting that we were indeed there.

After that eventful morning, we hit the road and stopped only twice (for gas & relief), and made it to Billings that night to 90 degree weather.

  3. Glacier National Park is one of my favorite places ever! (For some reason that photo of you on the dock gives me a sudden urge to push you in - playfully, of course. )

    1. Ha! The dock was either too high, or the water too low. I couldn't get my feet to reach the water no matter how hard I stretched!
