Here is a snapshot of what my little work zone has looked like lately, I just finished some more illustrations for Larry Hurt, more examples of them here and here.  He uses these to make booklets to accompany the songs that he writes for his grandkids.  The halfway finished piece is the final one for his song, Be a Good Neighbor.  More on the finished pieces to come.  But for those of you artist out there, I was using gouache to change things up from my watercolors.  I actually liked being able to reactivate the paint once it had dried, but it leaves a chalky feel on the page unlike watercolor.  Not a huge fan of that aspect.

Sidenote: Yes that is a kitchen plate I'm using as my palette, since the move I haven't been able to locate my regular one.
