Cinebar: Our new abode

We've moved...and we are finally settled in.  It has been a week, almost two since we left our first little house.  It was a cool little house, 1929 Sears Kit house...white picket fence...very American Dream.  But now we are closer to my work, yay!  Take that 40 min commute..hiYA.  Ok, putting the karate chops away.    We moved into a place that is sorta in the middle of nowhere, but is really nice.  Its a bit smaller, but seems bigger than our last place at 701sqft.  I hear the cows next door moo-ing in the mornings with birds chirping all around, we hear people shooting their guns at targets in the evenings, and the in between times are pretty peaceful.

So here is a peek at what our new place looks like...a mother-in-law apartment/detatched house that our landlords call, "The Little House".  How cute is that?  We weren't sure (read: I was nervous to live in the middle of NOWHERE) at first, but it was more of an inbetween distance to work since we commute in opposite directions, and the price was great.  And Brad was right, it is a great place.

Our "Little House"

When our landlords/neighbors asked if I needed space plant in the beds around the house, I gently shared with her that I had a brown thumb, and would only need space for a trial run basil plant.  She laughed, and filled the rest in with "hearty, self-sufficient plants, that don't need much love"!  But she also gave us some of her strawberry starts from last year...maybe a few...please don't die on me.

  1. Thanks for sharing this with us Susan, I think it is cute. It sounds like you allready at peace there. I enjoy the country also. It allows you those quiet times that you don't always get in town.

    1. Yep, I'm really appreciating the peacefulness of living out here, which was missing in Chehalis next to the train tracks and dog alley.

    1. It does feel so good, like it is warming up the entire house.
