Christmas Festivities

There was frost on the fence out in front, but our fire was toasty.  We hung our new stockings next to the stove.  Brad had this great idea of making each others.  Sadly, my sewing machine is currently missing a few pieces, so we ended up hand-sewing these beautiful stockings.  We were both proud of how they turned out.  Neither one of us were allowed to make decisions about what our stocking would look like, but had full authority over each others.  It was great fun!  Because life was so busy, we weren't able to get a Christmas tree up until the week before, but our Nativity scene has been up all December!  We decided to go without ornaments this year because the tree so was beautiful with simple white lights.  Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were filled with family, love and delicious food.  So that left Friday for us to celebrate our first Christmas together!  We had hot cocoa, Alabama Christmas playing (a McCurry family tradition), and tons of fun.  The new year is just around the corner, which has many exciting things in store!
