Stories from Lebanon: Part 2 Harissa

We went north...north of Beirut into the mountains that overlooked the Mediterranean.  Because it was such a gorgeous September day, the sky shone blue and reflected in the sea.   Our group of acquaintances stepped up to the beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary.  Our Lady of Lebanon, is a basilica above the city of Jounieh which strives to be a peace promoting place of meeting.  She looms above all, gleaming white with her golden crown and outstretched hands.

But the view was impeccable.
