Rainbows and Love

Another day in cloudy Seattle. For a few hours this morning the sun came out and the clouds faded, but they are back in full force. The third week of winter classes has just finished, and I am starting to get that busy feeling again. In order to keep from drowning in work, I've decided to dedicate Fridays as a specific Susan' art day with no agenda.

Today I have spent much time sorting through my box of crafting supplies. That has included my stamps, and I came across these stamps from Belarus, and they are just so cheerful. I ended up lining them up to create a color spectrum or rainbow.

I also had an idea for a card, raining love. Using a lot of yellows to keep it cheerful and upbeat, while using a monochromatic color palette. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. So glad that the leaves didn't crumble when I cut out the hearts.
